No. These are point of sale rebates, not loans or tax credits. The rebate is applied directly at the time of purchase, so there is nothing to repay and nothing to claim later.

HEAR pays fixed amounts per upgrade, so much for a heat pump, so much for a water heater. HER pays on the modelled energy saving of the whole project instead. Your coordinator works out which one pays more for your home, and you do not have to choose.

Heat pump heating and cooling, heat pump water heaters, and insulation with air sealing. The heat pump is the single largest rebate, and doing all three together is how a project reaches the full amount.

It depends on your county, your household size and your income. Households under 80 percent of their county median qualify for the highest tier, and 80 to 150 percent qualify at a reduced rate. We check the state table for your address before quoting anything.

The programs are for homeowners, so a rented property has to be applied for by whoever owns it. If we do not cover your county yet we will tell you on the call, and your details are not passed on to anyone.
